It was happenstance that I became a photographer…
My father gave me an unexpected gift when I was nineteen years old…a gift I never asked for nor did I know that I would want…my first 35mm camera. From the first moment I lifted that camera to my eye and gazed upon a new world through its viewfinder, I became mesmerized by the magic of photography.
It has been a few years since my first camera. Quite a bit has happened since then: I graduated from San Jose State University with a BFA in photography, I built a career in commercial photography in Silicon Valley, and I witnessed the dawn of the digital age, which left my poor, first “film” camera a relic from a bygone era.
Yes, it has been a few years!
As a commercial photographer, I specialize in food and restaurants, product, environmental portraiture, and architectural photography. My personal projects consist of a body of work of the historical California State Missions, social documentary, and fine art, which have been exhibited nationally. I work in studio and on location throughout my native state of California.
Photography has been an adventure… one I have never grown tired of and continues today with hope.
